    Cristo Fernández, known for his role as Dani Rojas in the hit series "Ted Lasso," was seen cheering on Los Angeles FC during their CONCACAF Champions Cup match against the Colorado Rapids.

    The Mexican actor's presence at the game underscores the growing celebrity following of LAFC and adds a touch of Hollywood glamor to the continental competition. Fernández, a former professional soccer player himself, has been a vocal supporter of the sport and its growth in North America. He was also seen during the MLS Cup final between LA Galaxy and New York Red Bulls.

    The tie itself was a thrilling encounter, especially after LAFC suffered a 2-1 loss to the Colorado Rapids in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions Cup Round 1 matchup. It meant that they had to win the second leg or score more than the Rapids, and they did exactly that as the encounter finished 1-0 in favor of the home side. It meant that LAFC sneaked past Colorado Rapids on away goals thanks to team captain Aaron Long’s crucial away goal in the first leg.

    Following their 1-0 win over Colorado Rapids, LAFC face New York City FC in their second home game of the 2025 MLS season before they welcome Columbus Crew for their Round of 16 Concacaf Champions Cup clash. The two-legged clash is placed on either side of the club’s road game against the Seattle Sounders on March 9.
